President of the Chicago Board of Education and Chicago United 2003 Business Leader of Color, Frank Clark, is one of seven recipients of this year's Order of Lincoln Award, the state's highest honor for professional achievement and public service.
Frank is the retired Chairman and CEO of ComEd, An Exelon Company. In addition to his current work as the president of the Chicago Board of Education, he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at BMO Financial Corporation, and on the board of directors for Aetna Inc. and Waste Management Inc. Frank is highly active in the Chicago community. Mr. Clark serves on the Board of Trustees of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, DePaul University, and the Museum of Science and Industry, as well as the Board of Directors of the Big Shoulders Fund.
“This year’s Order of Lincoln recipients are an outstanding group of individuals and exemplify President Lincoln’s relentless and passionate spirit for public service,” Governor Rauner said. “They have positively impacted their communities in numerous ways, and their contributions will leave a lasting impression on Illinois and the world. It is my honor to award them the Order of Lincoln.” The awards will be presented on May 6, 2017 at the 53rd Annual Convocation and Investiture of Laureates.
